Saturday 19/11/2-11

The leaves have finally turned on the cherry tree in the street outside our house. Almost overnight, although I expect it was actually a more gradual change, over these last five days or so. Today I was a bit more upright and a bit more aware, and actually looked out the front room window... There they were, these leaves, all an almost uniform yellowy orange, hanging downwards, ready to drop.

Papacrow was typing today, and I was up but not feeling too clever still so I didn't lead many activities. So the kids ended up doing quite a bit of sciency stuff - floating lego pieces and men in cups of water, and blowing through straws into the water and seeing what happened then! Dot also spent some enjoyable time washing up, there was lots of reading, Bang!, Chess, lego, and they also dragged out lots of bits of marble run and experimented building structures and dropping marbles down.

Saurus was feeling much better (he spend most of yesterday asleep) and Papacrow took them all to the little park for some fresh air, which was much enjoyed by all. They're definitely all on the mend, although poor Wig is still suffering from blisters in his mouth and on his tongue which are NO FUN AT ALL, as you can imagine.

They also had some cartoons in the morning - Charlie & Lola - and we had fun watching some old Power Rangers and discussing the different series and characters. They played consols and Little Big Planet in the afternoon before the park trip, and we enjoyed the special Strictly Come Dancing from Wembley.
