Update from the Trenches..

So, rather than the quiet night we envisaged poor little Dot was sick everywhere at about 1am... and I do mean everywhere! When all was cleaned up, she quickly settled back down, wasn't feverish and was quite cheerful about it all.

During the day, she had several sloppy, dirty, smelly, hideous nappies and then was sick again at dinner time - again, she was otherwise absolutely fine, cheerful, no temperature, etc.

I was sick just before lunch, and felt a bit ropey and miserable for a while but soon recovered and ate dinner and feel fine now.

No one else has been sick.

So with any luck, it's a very mild thing?

I guess we'll see how things go!

I've had a few twinges on and off today, mostly early this morning, this afternoon and this evening, but nothing major, so it looks like I'll have to trail off to the hospital tomorrow for my 40+ week check up after all.

Apart from a bit of lower back pain now he's crammed down the bottom of the bump, I feel fine actually - quite spritely in fact - I don't anticipate them discovering any thing badly wrong tomorrow that will stop our plans of home birth and the usual policy of being fine to go over by a couple of weeks. Although fingers, as ever, remain firmly crossed.

So, we'll see I guess... Prayers and birthy vibes would be very welcome!
